At the same time, the OLED panel production line can be reconstructed on the basis of reproducing existing LCD production lines, thereby saving half of the investment, and preventing the LCD production line that has not reached the end of its life from being wasted. This feature makes OLED not like a channel maker for manufacturers, but more like an upgraded product of LCD. This feature is conducive to the rapid growth of the OLED industry in the early stages. From a technical point of view, OLED has many more advantages than LCD. The only lifespan issue is not a big problem: the lifespan of custom OLED display products per 10,000 hours is enough to be accepted by the market. In terms of industrial progress, the final price of 55-inch color 3D TVs of OLED products that may be launched in 2012 will not be higher than US$8,000, which is much lower than the US$28,000 when the first 60-inch LCD TV was launched.
